When I first spoke to Krista at Swim Synergy I was skeptical - there was no way she would be able to get my 2-1/2 yr old twins to swim independently across the pool. One of them is a scaredy-cat and the other runs and jumps in without thinking. My daughter who is (fearless) accelerated very quickly in lessons. She was stubborn at times with floating; however, with encouragement and reassurance from her instructor she willingly worked on skills that she was less excited about . Krista was very knowledgeable, patient and friendly and helped Hanna calm down soon enough. Once Hanna realized that she had skill on top of confidence, she WAS able to swim all the way across the pool. I was astounded!! No floaties, no arm bands! My son who is (very cautious) was hesitant at first and required a little more time to master the skills, but Krista took her time earning his trust and making him feel safe. I was amazed at how he overcame his fear of the water, became a competent swimmer, and now happily swims for hours with his sister in our pool. I have had friends who put their kids in other programs but their kids STILL can't swim! I can't recommend this highly enough! I do not believe that any child is ever drown proof, but the peace of mind that comes along with having to watch not one but two active toddlers around the water is well worth the investment.
